Stephan Gregory "Stephon" Bailey Black, age 23, of Indian Hills Drive, Rydal, Georgia, passed away July 9, 2013. Stephan was born June 23, 1990 in Marietta, Georgia son of George F. Black and Marisa Bailey Black. He graduated from East Paulding County High School, attended Chattahoochee Technical College and was employed by the Toyo Plant. 

Edward George Moore, 65, of White, GA, passed away Tuesday, July 9, 2013. Mr. Moore was born January 31, 1948 in Elizabeth, New Jersey, son of the late Edward Atchinson Moore and Virginia Way Moore. Mr. Moore was employed as a Parts Technician with Marietta Toyota. He was an avid auto racing fanatic and was a proud member of The Sports Car Club of America. He loved to attend car shows. Mr. Moore was involved with Great Pyrenees and Newfoundland Dog rescue organizations and shows. He owned 6 of these dogs and he adored raising and taking care of them.

Flora Nan White, 82, of Covered Bridge Road, Smyrna, Georgia, formerly of Cartersville, Georgia, passed away Saturday, July 6, 2013. Mrs. White was born September 28, 1930 in Cartersville, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Smalley, was retired from Southern Bell and was of the Baptist faith.

Betty Lou Prather Lumpkin, 75, of Cartersville passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2013 at her residence. Born December 24, 1937 she was the daughter of the late Charlie Prather and the late Beatrice Ellis Prather. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Bill Lumpkin; her sons, Donny Gayton and Danny Gayton; her sister, Sarah Jo Soulis; her brothers, C.L. Prather and Tommy Prather; and her stepson, Berlon Gayton; and her grandson, Randy Leon Wimpy, Jr. Betty Lou was a homemaker who loved to garden, can vegetables and make jelly. She also enjoyed camping and fishing. Survivors include her daughters, Debby Baynard and Susan Gayton; her son-in-law, Fred Tellup; Debby’s fiancé, Danny Murphy; her sisters and brothers-in-law, Donald and Ruby Tilley; Marshall and Wilma Amos; her stepchildren, Billy Gayton, Betty Patterson, Birdie Hardin, Bonnie Sue Ingle, Benny Gayton, Bobby Gayton, Barry Gayton and Garry Gayton; her daughter-in-law, Wendy Gayton; her grandchildren, Kelly Lou Wimpy Duncan, Sarah Nicole Baynard, Ernest Dawayne Gayton, Misty Dawn Bell, Charles Jeffery Gayton, Stephanie Yother, Derrick Eugene Bell, Crystal Lynn Bell, Brandon Lamar Prather, Charlie (Nicole) Bell, Shawn Eugene Gayton and Hope Cigainero; and thirty-four great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 24, 2013 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home with Reverend Ronnie Richardson officiating. Burial will follow in Euharlee Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.  Serving as pallbearers will be Gunner Hampton, Jeff Duncan, David Ezell, Brandon Prather, Timothy Hovers, Tony Amos and Donald Tilley. 

Mrs. Jeanette Smith, 87, of Cartersville, died Sunday, July 21, 2013 at her residence. Born October 4, 1925 in Vidalia, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Tommy Williams and the late Betty Woods Williams.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Amos Smith; her daughter, Patsy Smith; her sons, Carlton, Hilton and Larry Smith; and her brother, Ray Williams. Mrs. Smith was a homemaker who enjoyed crocheting, doing embroidery work and family get togethers. She was a good cook and made great biscuits. Survivors include her son, Herman Smith of Cartersville; her sister, Mary Lou Schroeder of Cartersville; her grandsons, James and Joseph Smith of Cartersville; her daughter-in-law, Helen Smith of White and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, July 25, 2013 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Dr. Jacob King and Mr. Parnick Jennings officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. For those who wish to make donations in memory of Mrs. Smith, please mail to Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Rydal, Ga.

Zayne Kason Allmon, infant son of Devin Allmon and Ashley Willis Allmon, died July 17, 2013 at Northside Hospital in Atlanta. He was born July 4, 2013 in Fulton County. Zayne is preceded in death by his great-grandfather, Bill Lee.
Survivors include his parents; his sister, Hagen Allmon; his paternal grandparents, Mark and Michelle Givins; his maternal grandparents, April Stratford and Shane and Cindy Willis; his great-great-grandmothers, Andrea Lee and Edna Willis; and numerous other family members.
Graveside services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, July 18, 2013 at Sunset Memory Gardens with The Reverend Jerome Black officiating.

Ms. Mary Ann Kerr, 88, of Cartersville, died Friday, July 12, 2013 at Townsend Park Health and Rehabilitation. Born August 27, 1924 in Ellijay, she was the daughter of the late Jim Banks and the late Molly Burgess Banks. Ms. Kerr was a member of Grace Baptist Church and was retired from Union Carbide. She enjoyed her family along with sewing, walking and cooking. She had a wonderful sense of humor.

Mr. Leo Gary Pryor, age 61 of Cartersville, Ga passed away on Saturday, July 06, 2013. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church at 1:00PM. The body will lie in state from 11:00AM until the hour of service at the church.
