In Memory: Charles Dillon Perkins, Loved to Mingle at Waffle House

Perkins enjoyed gardening and socializing at Waffle House.

Charles Dillon Perkins, 77, of Cartersville died on April 190 at Cartersville Medical Center.

Born in Cartersville on March 2, 1937, he was a kind and loving man, with a big heart. He enjoyed gardening and always planted extra to give away to friends and family. He loved to go to the Waffle House to socialize with old and new friends.

Perkins is preceded in death by his father Allie Gray Perkins, and his mother; Charlcie Kelly; two brothers Joseph D. and Eural G. Perkins. 

Survivors include two daughters Kathy Abernathy (Don) of Cartersville, and Terri Marrow (James) of Fairmount and son; Waylon Perkins (Margaret), of Valley Grande, Alabama.

He is also survived by three sisters, Ozell Milam of Cartersville, Ellen Ferguson of Emerson, and Marie Molina of Buchannan. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service which will be held on Wednesday, April 23, at 6 p.m. in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home, with Pastor Rodney Kennedy officiating. The family will greet friends for one hour prior to the service.
