Honor Guard to Present Flags at D.A.R.E. Conference

Bartow County Sheriff's Office deputies are set to participate next week in the opening ceremonies of the 25th-annual international gathering in Atlanta.

's Honor Guard is set to present U.S. and Georgia flags at the opening cermonies of the 25th International D.A.R.E. Conference set to begin Tuesday in Atlanta.

Sheriff Clark Millsap is a member of the planning committee for the event, which will bring together D.A.R.E. officers from around the world.

"It is an honor for us to be a part of such an important event," Millsap said in a press release. "We look forward to representing our sheriff's office by presenting the colors at the opening ceremonies."

Local D.A.R.E. officers are Lt. John Morgan, Sgt. Richie Harrell, Inv. Marc Barrere and Inv. Hollie McKamey.

Honor Guard members set to participate in opening ceremonies are Sgt. Jonathan Rogers, Deputy Tyrone Hardesty, Deputy James Lowrey, Inv. Russell Ballard and Inv. Lee Bauder.
