Beat the Crowds on Election Day, Vote Early!

Come vote in person for your Party's Presidential Nominee between now and the Friday before Election Day.

Advance Voting started yesterday for the March 6, 2012, Presidential Preference Primary.  For those who are not familiar with Advance Voting, it is a form of Absentee Balloting that allows registered voters in the State of Georgia to cast their ballots in person on a voting machine prior to Election Day. It’s designed to make it easier and more convenient for those of us with busy schedules to vote.

If you choose this option, your experience will be extremely similar to what you would experience at your Election Day Polling Place.  When you enter the Advance Voting location, you will be provided a form to fill out.  This form is a combination of an Absentee Ballot Application, as well as the Oath of Absentee Elector.  After you complete this form, an Absentee Ballot Clerk will check your photo ID, verify your eligibility to vote, and issue you a Voter Access Card.  You will then insert this card into the voting machine of your choice and follow the instructions to cast your ballot.  After you have cast your ballot, you will return your Voter Access Card to an Absentee Ballot Clerk and receive your “I Voted” sticker.

Bartow County has two Advance Voting Locations, the Board of Elections and Voter Registration Office and the Cartersville Civic Center. Please check the Advance Voting Page of our website for dates and times each facility will accept voters, and if you have any questions feel free to ask them as a comment, or to call us at 770-387-5098.
