Mr. Gene David Sheriff, of Acworth, GA, was born October 27, 1953, in Chamblee, GA and died October 12, 2013. He is survived by his beloved wife of 29 yrs., Debra Pack Sheriff; his son, Michael Sheriff; grandchildren Kyle and Matthew Sheriff; mother, Ruby Sheriff; five sisters, Jessie, Joyce, Janice, Janet and Wanda; and several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by a special niece, Elizabeth Ridgeway and her son, Zach, who assisted in caring for him in his final days. He is also survived by his wife’s family who took Gene into the family as their own and a special thank you to neighbors, friends and the community, for all their love and support. Gene was a happy loveable man that will be sorely missed by all that knew him and loved him. There will be a memorial svc. at Clairmont Baptist Church, Atlanta, GA, at 2:00 p.m. on October 19th, and a celebration of his life on Saturday, October 26, starting at 12:00 Noon, at the family home, the day before he would have turned 60, on October 27th.
