unforgettable film & television franchise that ushered in a cultural
phenomenon, FAME - THE MUSICAL has already proven that it will "live
forever!"
FAME - THE MUSICAL is both popular and relevant for numerous generations of audiences. Dancing, singing, acting, rapping, and music are just a few of the fantastic featured art mediums in this thrilling stage production.
The final class of New York City's celebrated High School for the Performing
Arts on 46th Street is followed from its 1980 admission acceptance to 1984
graduation. All of the struggles, triumphs, and fears of students and teachers
alike are depicted with humor and memorable tunes, but what lays at the heart
of this piece are the issues that these young artists have to face as they
navigate the worlds of music, drama, and dance.
Fame-The Musical is the
bittersweet but ultimately inspiring story of a diverse group of students as
they commit to four years of grueling artistic and academic work.
