Wake Up and Dream: A Tribute to Benji Wilhoite

More than a dozen friends and colleagues of actor and musician Benji Wilhoite, a Cartersville native who died suddenly at the age of 41, will honor his memory by performing Wilhoite's original music at this free concert.


Wilhoite, who , may be best known for his performance of the song Rocky Top Tennessee in the movie Six Pack, but also had roles in several films and TV movies and series.


Wilhoite also was an "extraordinary musician who had an extensive catalog of brilliant songs that deserve to be heard by the masses," according to a group of his friends and fellow artists, which include Bartow County resident and actor Jim Adams and Cartersville musicians Donny Hammonds and Donovan Cox

I saw him perform at the old Belk's when I was around 12 years old. I had the biggest crush on him after that! I was so sad to hear that he had passed away.
