The Etowah Valley Historical Society presents "An Evening at Valley View", an event to benefit the Oral History Project. The evening includes wine and a silent auction, dinner by Johnny Mitchel's, music by Stephen Lee and touring and socializing in the antebellum Greek Revival plantation home. Many special items have been donated for the auction: a congressional cookbook, art, photography, antiques, professional services and restaurant and chef's certificates for products and meals. Oral histories cost a minimum of $250. each. and there are many beloved Bartow County citizens whose first hand accounts of the life and times of their era need to be recorded.
