12th-Annual Feed the Community Dinner

The New Frontier of Bartow County Inc. will host Saturday, Nov. 17, its 12th-annual Feed the Community Dinner at the Cartersville Civic Center.

The event provides a pre-Thanksgiving Dinner for senior citizens, shelter residents, poverty-stricken families, veterans, youths, or anyone wanting a good hot meal.

With today’s economic situation, The New Frontier fully
expect this year’s dinner to be its greatest endeavor. The hope is that the community will once again answer the challenge and support the effort. Last year, through community generosity, the organization provided
approximately 2,000 meals to Bartow County residents. More than 25 percent went to children, 20 percent to the handicapped and more than 15 percent went to the elderly!

Along with a nutritious meal, this year’s dinner will also include barber and beautician services, a health fair with AIDS screenings, legal aid, voter registration and warm coats.

It has always been the goal of The New Frontier to ensure that no one leaves the dinner hungry. In order to accomplish this worthwhile task, The New Frontier will gladly accept any contribution to assist with the
purchase of food items and gift bags (consisting of toiletries).

The New Frontier is also asking that you help spearhead a grass-roots effort within your business, organization, or school to raise $150 or more by/before Nov. 14, 2012.

A contribution to this all-volunteer program means your money goes to feed the hungry! The New Frontier believe that a groundswell of small gestures from across our county will result in a very successful event, and that means every person in need is met with a hot meal for the day!

Even the smallest contribution, combined with others,
will help. The New Frontier would also ask that you consider participating that day as a volunteer by contacting William Solomon at 404-625-3880.

Will you partner with The New Frontier and help Bartow County OVERCOME Hunger – if only for one day?
