DEBATE FOR GA. SENATE SEAT IN DISTRICT #14

Debate on Tuesday, Nov. 20th will be between Bruce Thompson and Matt Loughridge for the State Senate Seat in Dist. #14.  This event is sponsored by the Cherokee Women's GOP group in Woodstock, GA.

Each candidate will be given time to discuss their qualifications and why they want to be your next GA State Senator to fill the vacancy left by former GA State Senator Barry Loudermilk who is running for the 11th Congressional seat.

Bruce Thompson has an excellent record of serving his community as a former Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce in Bartow, and many years of being a successful businessman owing and serving his clients in the computer industry and insurance  industry.  A Christian, a family man with two adopted children and a true Constitutional Conservative who believes in free enterprise to create jobs in Dist. #14 as well as being fiscally responsible with our tax dollars.

Perhaps 25 yr. old, inexperienced Matt Laughridge  will be able to explain why he was arrested for a DUI violation in February, 2013 and no court hearing has taken place since that date.  Is the case buried and not going to be heard until after the RunOff Election on 12/3/2013?  What happens if he is found guilty as charged?  Inquiring voters want to know.  Are people going to vote in a man who violates our laws and then reward him the possibility to enact our laws under the Gold Dome in Atlanta?  Laughridge claims to  have a proven track record, but doing what is the question that should be asked? Is it a track record of partying and driving drunk?  Let's see if Matt can answer those questions  without Melanie C.  feeding him his answers via texting during the debate.

If we voters are going to elect someone to represent us, we need answers that are honest and ethical, and our representatives need to conduct themselves in that manner as well.
