New Frost Advisory for Bartow County

The National Weather Service has forecast near-freezing temperatures for Bartow County and Cartersville.

Update: Sunday, 4:20 p.m.

The National Weather Service has issued a frost advisory for several Georgia Counties, including Bartow County.

According to the advisory, temperatures will dip between 33 and 39 degrees between 4 and 9 a.m. on Monday. The temperatures will be coldest in "sheltered, protected, low lying areas." 

Frost may damage uncovered sensitive outdoor plants or indoor plants left outdoors.

The National Weather Service has issued a freeze warning for Sunday morning to areas of Georgia that include Bartow County and Cartersville.

The warning predicts overnight temperatures to fall to the low thirties, below the freezing point. This light freeze will threaten outdoor plants. Those with outdoor plants or crops are advised to harvest or protect them.
