Oh, No, Snow?

Forecasters say possible snow tonight won't be a big deal, but things could change by Monday.

The S word is being thrown around again. But unless you live in the extreme north Georgia mountains it looks like you won't see anything but a flurry or two.

But next week could be a different story. Tonight the metro area has a slight chance of rain then maybe light snow after midnight, said National Weather Service meteorologist Mike Leary.

"There's a slight chance of a flurry here, but nothing significant," he said, "nothing on the roads."

Heading into the weekend, the weather will be downright pretty for this time of year. Friday will be sunny with highs in the lower 40s. Saturday and Sunday will also be sunny with highs in the upper 40s, even reaching 50 on Sunday.

Monday, the forecast begins to change. There's a 50 percent chance of rain, sleet or snow throughout the day Monday and into the evening. The high is going to reach the 40s, so it may just end up being messy. Tuesday there's a 30 percent chance of rain all day, but it will be too warm for any frozen type stuff.
