More Rain Possible This Week, Sunny Skies by Memorial Day Weekend

This weekend's heavy rain moves out of Cartersville, making way for mostly sunny skies by the weekend.

After yet another weekend filled with flood warnings and event cancellations throughout the metro area, Cartersville is in for some sunny skies early this week and this Memorial Day weekend, though rain will be likely on Wednesday.

A chance of scattered strong showers and thunderstorms continues Monday, with mostly sunny skies and a high of 87, according to the National Weather Service's Cartersville forecast.

Tuesday will be mostly sunny with a high near 87 after some morning fog. Showers are likely Wednesday with a high of 83. Thursday and Friday will see mostly sunny skies with a small chance of thunderstorms.

And, just in time for Memorial Day weekend, mostly sunny skies with highs in the low 80s are expected Saturday and Sunday.
