Gun Fired at Local Club

A man told police he walked into the parking lot and was confronted by another man who brandished a handgun and fired a round.

A 31-year-old Cartersville man told police shortly after midnight Saturday that another man had fired a gun in his direction in the parking lot of .

According to the incident report, police responded to 910 Joe Frank Harris Parkway in reference to shots fired and were told the victim saw the man with a gun strike another man inside the establishment.

The victim walked outside the club and was confronted by the man — described as an African-American with light skin in his 20s, 6-foot-2-inches to 6-foot-3-inches tall and weighing 180 pounds — who brandished the handgun and fires a shot toward him.

Witnesses interviewed did not know the man, who left the scene prior to officers arrival. Police foud a .40 brass shell casing in the parking lot.
