East Cobb Murder Suspect Arrested – East Cobb Patch

John Kristofak, wanted for the murder of his ex-wife at her East Cobb home, was arrested early Thursday morning.

The Cobb County Sheriff's Office Fugitive Unit and the U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Task Force took him into custody, according to the Cobb Police Department, which issued a statement at 8:30 this morning.

Kristofak, 58, is being held without bond at the Cobb County Adult Detention Center, charged with murder and aggravated assault. See East Cobb Patch for more on this story.

Life University Founder Sid Williams Dies - East Cobb Patch

Dr. Sid Williams, the founder of Marietta's Life University, has died.

The Marietta Daily Journal reported Thursday that Williams, who suffered a stroke late last year, passed away this morning, and that in lieu of flowers, donations should be made to The B. J. Palmer Historic Home Foundation. See East Cobb Patch for more on this story.

 

Buckhead Business Founder to Match Animal Shelter Donations - Buckhead Patch

The LifeLine Animal Project is hoping to extend its efforts to Clayton County, and the founder of an international cosmetics company plans to help.

The LifeLine Animal Project, which began more than a decade ago, operates a no-kill shelter in Avondale Estates and a spay and neuter clinic in College Park.

Anisa Telwar, founder of the Buckhead-based Anisa International cosmetics company, has promised to match every dollar donated to the organization–up to $25,000–before Dec. 31, according to the Clayton News Daily. See Buckhead Patch for more on this story.
