Cartersville Wants Input on Downtown Master Plan

An online survey and public meetings in May will be used to gather input from local residents on planning for downtown.

Your opinion is wanted on what downtown Cartersville should be in the future. The Cartersville Downtown Development Authority is working with the city's Planning Department on a Downtown Master Plan.

"We would like for you to take just a couple of minutes to complete our eight question survey," said DDA Manager Tara Currier in a news release today.

You can complete the survey online, or download the PDF from the city's website. The DDA asks that all surveys be completed by April 30.

The DDA and the city will do more than just read those surveys. Two public meetings will take place in May to discuss the survey results and the Downtown Master Plan:

  • Wednesday, May 8, at 8:30 a.m,
  • Thursday, May 9, at 6 p.m.

The meetings will be held in Council Chambers, located on the third floor of City Hall.

"Your input on the survey and at the public meetings will help us establish the goals and objectives for the future of downtown; your feedback is greatly appreciated," Currier said.
