WWII History Buffs Won't Want to Miss This Talk about Kristallnacht

Shattering Glass: A Holocaust Survivor's Journey

On November 9-10, 1938, a young boy shuddered as the sound of windows shattering all around him resounded through his town. Now known around the world as "Kristallnacht," this night was a turning point in Germany's war against the Jews. On these two nights over 91 Jews were killed over 30,000 were arrested and ultimately sent to concentration camps set up through Europe by the German authorities.

Imagine your children living through a night of terror such as Kristallnacht. They would never forget it. The Kennesaw State University Museum of History & Holocaust Education is hosting Mr. Herbert Kohn on Sunday, February 10, 2013. He will share his dramatic, first-hand experience of a night that many children only read about in history books.

Kohn will also share his experiences of surviving World War II, which coincides with the current exhibits at the Museum of History & Holocaust Education.  Bring your teens to learn from the exhibit entitled "Parallel Journeys: World War II & the Holocaust through the Eyes of Teens."  Tours start at 3:30 p.m. and end with light refreshments.
