Decatur's Construction Resources Supports Homes for Our Troops

Earlier this year, Construction Resources, Inc. partnered with Homes for Our Troops, a non-profit dedicated to building homes for injured service members since 2004, to install granite kitchen tops and bathroom countertops in homes for two Hawkinsville, Ga. marine corporals who lost their legs while serving in Afghanistan. Now, the company is helping raise money for the organization by participating in the third annual Counters for a Cause sale on Friday, Oct. 25 and Saturday, Oct. 26, 2013.

Mullis and Boucher are real-life heroes, best friends and new neighbors. They even founded their own non-profit, Amputee Outdoors, where they take wounded veterans on hunting and fishing trips. Construction Resources was able to install products that were as unique as the two men. Of course, each product was also designed around independence and mobility.

Construction Resources works with Homes for Our Troops as part of the Artisan Group, a North American network of independent countertop professionals offering the highest quality products. For the past few years, the Artisan Group has hosted the Counters for a Cause event and has raised almost $60,000 with Construction Resources being the highest contributor to the fundraiser.

Atlanta Marble Mfg, Inc., Atlanta Kitchen, Inc., Atlanta Glass & Mirror, Inc. and Builders Floor Covering and Tile, LLC will all be offering up to 70 percent off kitchen and bath products such as custom countertops, bath tubs, vanity tops, shower pans, tub decks, shower doors, bath hardware, specialty products, tile, carpet and hardwood. Name brand products that will be available include Artisan Granite,  Bonotti Marble, Cambria, Piedrafina, Heritage Wood, Saratoga Soapstone, Kohler, Corian, Vetrazzo, Shaw, Grohe, Dal Tile, Moen, Coastal, Rubbermaid, Mohawk and more.
