Wells Fargo Donates to Tellus

Bank representatives say Tellus Science Museum has made a positive impact in the Cartersville community.

recently contributed $5,000 to support the educational programs of the . 

Bank representatives say the museum is centrally located in Cartersville, and provides interactive science education to more than 50,000 students annually, serving residents in Atlanta, Chattanooga and across northwest Georgia.  

“The key to improving science education in our communities is to bring science to life for our students, teachers and other guests, by providing science experiences that are both entertaining and educational,” Adam Wade, the museum’s director of development, said in a press release. “We are grateful for Wells Fargo’s support, which will help us continue to deliver exceptional educational programming and exhibitions.”

Tellus' vision is to improve student achievement in science and encourage young people to pursue degrees in science and engineering. The 120,000-square-foot museum is the only one in the southeast that includes exhibits on such a variety of sciences, including rocks and minerals, ancient life—dinosaurs and giant reptiles—transportation technology, astronomy and more.   

“Tellus Science Museum has made such a positive impact in our community and is one of the reasons that Cartersville is such a great place to live,” Wells Fargo’s Cartersville Market President Buddy Bennett said in the release. “We are so pleased to provide the museum with these funds and we know they will be put to good use.”
