'Dark Knight' Marathon Set Before Premiere

Movie goers interested in the last of the Batman series can see "Dark Knight Rises" in 10 showings beginning at midnight in Cartersville.

"Dark Knight Rises" premieres Thursday at midnight, and it's basically a guarantee it will break ticket sale records.

The third and reported final installment of director Christopher Nolan's Batman series starring Christian Bale as the Caped Crusader is expected to rake in more than $150 million in its opening weekend alone.

As of July 1,Β 100,000 tickets were already presold.

Cartersville's is capitalizing on the hype with a digital Batman marathon that begins Thursday at 6:15 p.m. and continues for more than 7 hours. It includes Batman Begins and The Dark Knight.Β

Digital shows of the Dark Knight Rises premiere are set for 12:01 and 12:02 a.m. Eight additional showings of the film are set to begin each minute until 12:10 a.m., according to Fandango, where you can purchase tickets.
