The Little Clinic Opens in Kroger

A subsidiary of the grocery chain, the practice offers the diagnosis and treatment of common illnesses and minor injuries; provides physicals, preventive care and vaccinations; and more.

The Little Clinic tomorrow is opening its second Atlanta-area clinic in the local , having opened its first location last month in the West Cobb Kroger in Marietta.

Founded in 2003 and headquartered in Brentwood, TN, the company is owned by Kroger and positions itself as "a pioneer in customer-focused health care with a mission to provide convenient, affordable health care and wellness education." Other stores are located inside Kroger outlets in Kentucky, Tennessee, Ohio, Colorado and Arizona. 

“The Little Clinic is a convenient, affordable, quality health care option for busy consumers in the Cartersville community,” said Mike Stoll, CEO of The Little Clinic. “Along with our parent company, Kroger, we are committed to offering the highest level of customer service. This new location provides the added convenience of having services such as vaccinations, physicals and treatment of minor illnesses under the same roof as Kroger’s pharmacy, groceries and other offerings.”

The Little Clinic locations are staffed with licensed and board-certified nurse practitioners and/or certified physician assistants, who are specialists in family practice.

They are authorized to diagnose, treat and write prescriptions for common illnesses such as bronchitis, respiratory, sinus and ear infections and the flu, as well as for minor injuries. The clinics also provide services such as school, camp and sports physicals, preventive care and vaccinations in addition to tobacco cessation programs, treatment of mild to moderate acne, travel health care services, corticosteroid injections and more. Currently, The Little Clinic is offering 500 Kroger fuel points with an office visit, excluding flu shots. Federal and state healthcare program beneficiaries are not eligible.

Appointments at The Little Clinic are not necessary and patients will experience little or no waiting time before being seen, according to the press release. The Little Clinic provides care for the entire family from age 18 months and up, excluding pregnant women.

It accepts most major insurance carriers. Consumers may view a list of all accepted insurances at www.thelittleclinic.com. The Little Clinic also accepts self-paying patients with office visits starting at $69.

In order to maintain continuity of care, The Little Clinic recommends all patients have a primary care physician who manages their individual health care needs and is available for exams and services not provided by The Little Clinic.
