is set to assist Mount Vernon Mills fill a number of jobs in production at its denim manufacturing facility in Chattooga County, about an hour northwest of Cartersville.

As one of the largest denim manufacturing facilities in the world, the facility in Trion produces a wide variety of denim and other fabrics, including piece-dyed fabrics for clothing, flame-resistant fabrics and fabrics for military uniforms, according to Mount Vernon Mills' website.

Recruitment of entry-level workers for machine operator and material handler positions will be held Friday, Aug. 3, from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the company’s human resources office—91 Fourth St. in Trion.

Due to U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration regulations, applicants must be at least 18 years old. While no manufacturing experience is necessary, applicants are encouraged to have a high school diploma or a GED.
