Golf Academy Coming To LakePoint
Famous golfer Greg Norman, known as the "Great White Shark," will develop the 30-acre project.
LakePoint, the massive sports complex underway south of Cartersville in Emerson, is set for a golf academy and course designed by famous golfer Greg Norman, known as the "Great White Shark."
His company, Greg Norman Golf Course Design, will design the 30-acre development, which will include a nine-hole, par 3 course; practice greens, bunkers and tees; and features such as swing analysis technology and custom club fitting, reports the Atlanta Business Chronicle.
The Greg Norman Champions Golf Academy at LakePoint will be similar to Norman's golf academy in Myrtle Beach, S.C., which "was created to meet the needs of top golfers at every stage of their amateur and professional development," according to its website.
