Food Scores: A's, B's and One C

Our weekly list of food scores includes Cartersville restaurants inspected from Feb. 5 to 11.

conducts inspections of local establishments to give patrons a snapshot of the operations of the businesses. Its goal is to provide consumers information to help protect themselves from the risk factors linked to illness and injury.

Items on inspection lists have point values ranging from 1 to 9 points and are deducted from a best possible score of 100. Higher points are deducted for items with higher risks to cause illness. Repeat violations also cost establishments more points.

Wow. The Okinawa score is shocking. The food is always very good and the dining environment comfortable and clean. Hope the owners address these code issues ASAP. Little excuse for a 79.

Doug, I totally I agree. It's one of my favorite restaurants in Cartersville. We'll let you know what the recheck score is — they hit the site at 2 p.m. each Sunday.

I'm disappointed with the low scores...hope they place picks up their scores soon!
