Flight Works, GDOL Will Recruit Pilots at Job Fair

The Georgia Department of Labor will hold a job fair next week to help recruit pilots and other employees for Flight Works.

The Georgia Department of Labor will help a company recruit pilots at a job fair next week.

GDOL will join forces with Flight Works, an aircraft charter flights company, to fill jobs for pilots and other positions at the fair, which will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday, Nov. 6, at the Cobb-Cherokee Career Center. The career center is located at 465 Big Shanty Road in Marietta.

The company is seeking experienced pilots who have Federal Aviation Administration Airline Transport Pilot’s certificates to fly Hawker 800A and Lear 45 jets.

The Hawker 800A pilots must have logged at least 2,500 hours of flying time, while the Lear jet pilots must have logged at least 2,000.

Flight Works also wants quality assurance managers and charter sales representatives. The quality assurance managers must have an FAA airframe and power plant certificate and at least five years of experience as a certified mechanic on a turbine aircraft.

However, sales reps must have a basic understanding of FAA regulations and a college degree in aviation or business administration is preferred.

The company will discuss with applicants flight schedules, pay and benefits.

For more information about the recruitment, contact Michael O’Neal at the Cobb-Cherokee Career Center at 770-528-6100 or at michael.oneal@gdol.ga.gov.
