CMC Gets New Pharmacy Market Director
Shannon Sims of Taylorsville was promoted to the position for facilities in northwest Georgia.
Cartersville Medical Center announced Shannon Sims was promoted to market director of Pharmacy to include , Redmond Regional Medical Center and Polk Medical Center. In her new role, Sims will be responsible for pharmacy operations at all three of the HCA healthcare facilities located in northwest Georgia.
According to hospital officials, Sims has demonstrated the leadership abilities and knowledge required for the market-level position. She has more than eighteen years of pharmacy experience with progressive leadership roles in acute care hospital settings, including Redmond Regional Medical Center in Rome, Polk Medical Center in Cedartown and Cartersville Medical Center.
Sims received her undergraduate and doctor of Pharmacy degrees from the University of Georgia and is a member of the American Society of Health System Pharmacists.
