Cheapest Gas: $3.41 Regular per Gallon

Possibly in response to news that President Barack Obama is releasing 30 million barrels of oil from our emergency reserve, the cheapest gas in and around Cartersville went down a few cents.

According to AtlantaGasPrices.com the last time we checked, Love's near Emerson had the lowest price in town at $3.41 per gallon of regular, but other stations may not have reacted to the Strategic Petroleum Reserve release for which Republicans and the oil industry are slamming Obama.

Pure at Mac Johnson Road and U.S. 41 and Walmart's Murphy U.S.A. come in at $3.43 and $3.44, respectively, while numerous stations are still at $3.45 — , , , , , and .

If you shop at either of the two grocery stores on the list, you could get it for 10 cents less than the posted price. Just check the bottom of your receipt to make sure you have enough fuel points and at the pump swipe your Kroger Plus or Ingles Advantage card.
