Cartersville-Bartow Chamber to Celebrate 125 Years with Family Fair

The Terry Reid Hyundai Chamber Family Fair will be held on May 8 and is open to all residents in Bartow County.

To celebrate 125 years of growing and promoting a friendly business atmosphere in Bartow County, the Cartersville-Bartow County Chamber of Commerce will commemorate their anniversary with a family fair.

The organization will hold its Terry Reid Hyundai Chamber Family Fair on Thursday, May 8 at the Plant Bowen Recreational Area. The fair, which is open to the public and not just Chamber members, will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The recreational area is at 111 Picklesimer Road in Cartersville.

The old-fashioned, country themed fair will include activities and games such as bingo, cake walks, horseshoes, corn hole and balloon darts. Residents can also expect to munch on carnival snacks such as cotton candy, popcorn and snow cones.

Tickets to attend the Family Fair must be purchased in advance and are $20 for adults and $5 for children ages 5-18. The tickets include entrance to the event and a BBQ or Hot Dog meal courtesy of Bustin’ Butt Hickory Smoke Bar-B-Que.

Children ages 4 and under may attend for free, but a meal is not included. Additionally, individual booths may charge small fees for activities or additional snack items for fundraising purposes.

For more information on the event, tickets or sponsorships, contact Joy Salter at joy@cartersvillechamber.com or 770-382-1466.

Residents can stop by the chamber or visit its website to purchase tickets.
