Candlelit Dinners at Waffle House

One of the chain's Cartersville locations is offering romantic dinners, including white tablecloth service, on Valentine's Day.

In an upscale twist on "scattered, smothered and covered," a location is one of more than 110 Waffle House restaurants set to serve romantic, Valentine's Day dinners.

By reservation only, the special dinners are all about the atmosphere. In candlelight and dim lighting, meals will be served on white tablecloths with cloth napkins and alcohol-free champagne, TIME Moneyland reports.

"The atmosphere will be more of 5-star, sit-down and less fast production, Waffle House,” Waffle House Area Director Chris Parrott told WALB.

It's a first for the at 1355 Joe Frank Harris Parkway in Cartersville, but the chain's fifth year offering up romance with a special menu at select locations, including more than 20 Georgia restaurants this year.

Valentine's Day specials include rib eye, T-bone, chicken and chopped steak dinners, but the 24/7 eatery known for its breakfasts and coffee, chicken melts and waffles also will serve dishes from the regular menu, store personnel said.

The local restaurant already has booked about 20 reservations, and has left only a handful of spots, from 8:20 to 9:10 p.m.
