LakePoint, "one of the largest and most unique sports tournament vacation destinations," named the Maritz Travel Company the its preferred partner for event sourcing and housing services.
“LakePoint will be home to more than 200 events and tournaments per year with more than 4 million visitors,” LakePoint Sports Development Partner Judy Sparks said in the release. “Our partnership with Experient will ensure all of our visitors enjoy a quality experience from the moment they plan a trip to LakePoint.
"Experient’s expertise will help to make LakePoint the unparalleled sports tournament vacation destination in the United States.”
The company provides services such as event intelligence, attendance building, technological innovation, experiential enhancement, risk management and security.
“The LakePoint multi-year partnership adds more than 1 million room nights to Experient’s Housing and Sourcing portfolio. This partnership enables LakePoint Sports to leverage Experient’s innovative technologies, buying power and depth of knowledge to enhance the experience offered to their audience of athletes and their families,” Experient’s Senior Vice President of Housing Heidi Voorhees said.
LakePoint's Sports Village will feature 16 major league-sized baseball fields, 14 soccer/lacrosse fields, 15 fast pitch softball and junior baseball fields, a 20-acre wake park, two Miracle League fields, and a 196,000-square-foot indoor facility for gymnastics, wrestling, volleyball, basketball, cheerleading and other sports, as well as 5 million square feet of retail, hotels, restaurants and other amenities.
Designed for sustainability, durability and injury prevention, LakePoint also will be the largest installation of synthetic sports surfacing in the world.
