Hello! My name is Beth...

We are fairly new to Cartersville but pros at struggling along in life. My blog is my therapy now...welcome to my life!

I started my blog over a year ago when we moved to Rome. It was a way to express my sadness of moving to a new state where we have no family or friends to keep me busy and connected to others while still feeling alone in a new town while caring for a freshly turned one-year-old.

My mom and best friend were greatly involved in his life because I had a difficult recovery from his birth. Plus Chris was home a lot being unemployed after closing our shop.

So I was alone, caring for a child from sun up to way past sun down because Chris' new job had horrendous hours. There was no ease into our new situation. It was a shock to the system especially when you are an only child that loves being with her parents.

Sad, I know, I'm 31 and I miss them terribly! Now we are in Cartersville. I'm selling Avon and working to become a decent blogger.

Chris works for Dish Network (still with horrendous hours) and is starting a business again making furniture. My parents are still in Florida and we have a few friends from church and our neighborhood.

Life might not be exactly what we want but after the tough four years we've had, it's much better than what it was. Our marriage is stronger, our child is more than what we asked God for and my parents will be living here next year after my dad retires.

If anyone is in need of tennis lessons from a professional, I can hook you up!

After the recent storms, I can see what a wonderful place we moved to. I'm very happy to be surrounded by generous, loving people that help each other when in need. I'm excited to find what the future has in store for us and am looking forward to becoming more involved in this great community!

Please check out my blog at Far From Camelot and my husband's handcrafted work at Twelve Oaks. I appreciate your time and interest and hope you'll stick around for more of my ramblings of life!
