Former Cartersville resident Chloe Grace Moretz has made it big and has several movies coming out in the next few years.
Born in Atlanta, she left Cartersville for New York with her family in 2002, according to her Wikipedia page. Moretz has 47 credits for movies, TV series and other productions, according IMDb, the Internet Movie Database, including:

She's starring as Carrie White in a third film adaptation of Stephen King's 1974 novel by the same name, Carrie. Just in time for Halloween, the movie is set for an Oct. 18 release, according IMDb, which describes it as:
A reimagining of the classic horror tale about Carrie White, a shy girl outcast by her peers and sheltered by her deeply religious mother, who unleashes telekinetic terror on her small town after being pushed too far at her senior prom.
