Up next for local theater group Pumphouse Players is playwright Ray Cooney’s Run for Your Wife.
Directed by Mike Wasson, it's the story of taxi driver John Smith, played by Mike Davis, who gets away with having two wives in different areas of London.
Trouble brews when the cabbie is mugged and ends up in the hospital, where both of his addresses surface. The situation spurs an investigation by two different police officers, and it appears John’s double life is about to explode.
Complication piles upon complication as John, with some "help" from his lazy neighbor Stanley, tries to explain himself to both of his wives, played by Stacey Bern and Meghann Humphreys, and two suspicious police officers.
The hilarious cast in this rip-roaring comedy are sure to have audiences rolling in the aisles. Run for Your Wife opens at the Legion Theatre Jan. 25 at 8 p.m. Other shows are set for Jan. 26, Feb. 1 and Feb. 2 at 8 p.m., and a 3 p.m. matinee on Jan. 27.
Tickets are $10 for members, $12 for FlexPass holders or groups of 10 or more, and $14 for general admission. Reserve tickets at www.pumphouseplayers.com or call 770-387-2610 for more information.
