Look: 'Hamlet and Hutch,' Starring Burt Reynolds, Films in Cartersville

Local actor Alan J. Sanders will play Hamlet in the production filming at The Grand Theatre and featuring local residents as extras.

Movie legend Burt Reynolds has been in Cartersville working on Hamlet and Hutch, a film that will put local actor Alan J. Sanders as Hamlet, local residents as extras and The Grand Theatre on the big screen.

Production started Tuesday, according to a NinaHoliday Entertainment ad for extras and stand-ins, and is set to continue in other Georgia cities, such as Blue Ridge, The Daily Tribune News reports.

Hamlet and Hutch is about an aging actor, who may be in the early stages of dementia, but has been asked to help save a small theater by coming to town and performing in a production of Shakespeare's Hamlet, Sanders told the newspaper.
