Musical Timeline of Clayton McMichen's Career

Bartow History Museum for its lunch and learn lecture welcomes musician and historian of Northwest Georgia music, Laney House. 

House and other musicians will perform a musical timeline of the career of Clayton McMichen, award winning fiddler and entertainer.   

Clayton McMichen, an Allatoona native, is known primarily for his performances on stage, radio and records; however he was also a very talented songwriter. Some of his more famous compositions include "My Carolina Home," "Dear Old Dixie Land," "Peach Pickin' Time in Georgia," and "Georgiana Moon."

The lecture is free to members and included with the price of admission for not-yet members. Guests are invited to bring a lunch beginning at 11:45 a.m. and the program will begin at noon.
