Legion Studio Adult Acting Classes

The Legion Studio, in conjunction with Georgia Highlands College, begins adult acting workshops on September 15, 2012. Workshops for adults are Saturday afternoons at 1:00 PM at the Legion Theatre in Cartersville. 

Workshops at the Legion Studio introduce participants to basic theatrical concepts such as the terminology and technology of the theater and progress to stage concepts, such as stage movement and voice projection. The final weeks concentrate on character development and improvisation skills. Upon completion of the eight-week program, all graduates appear in an original production at the Legion Theatre or Georgia Highlands College.

The adult program is available for teens and older and costs $250 per student. Classes begin on September 15, 2012, and continue each Saturday until the final production. The final production for the adult program is on Saturday, November 10, 2012, in the evening at a location to be determined.
