Why Go: Named after the well-known “Big Chicken” in Marietta, this all-male barbershop group is performing to raise money for the Good Neighbor Homeless Shelter.
Pricing: Tickets are $15 and are available at Good Neighbor Shelter, Styles Collision Center and Jax Supply.
Where/When: on Saturday from 1 to 7 p.m.
Why Go: This June the former lodge and restaurant at Red Top Mountain State Park, which has been transformed in to an educational center, is opening with activities and exhibitions, ranging from reptiles to bird watching. Scheduled activities include a program highlighting three non-venomous snakes at 1:30 p.m. followed by a craft project at 4 p.m.

Why Go: This summer, every Saturday at Tellus will be an . The theater will screen new programs on a loop all day. This week’s program is called The 12,000 Bottle Boat. Activities and demonstrations will accompany the video programs.
