Vendors Wanted for Cartersville Bluegrass Festival

The second annual Cartersville Bluegrass & Folk Festival will be held on Saturday, Oct. 18 in downtown Cartersville.

Even though the second annual Cartersville Bluegrass and Folk Festival is still five months away, the window of time vendors can sign up is getting shorter.

Vendors can apply to participate in the festival, which will be held on Saturday, Oct. 18 in downtown Cartersville. Applications are currently online, and must be filled out and returned by June 1.

The first festival, which was held in October, included 13 bands on two stages, a Kids' Area, and more drew more than 2,000 attendees.

The event this year will have two stages of entertainment. The main stage, held in Friendship Plaza, features a variety of bluegrass bands. The stage, which sits next to the historic train depot, features a small amphitheater and plenty of grass to bring your blanket or lawn chair to nestle in for the day.

Located in the 1979 bay area of the old fire station built in 1916, the firehouse stage will have both bluegrass and folk musicians.

The 2014 event will also feature a vendor area with limited food, craft and art vendor spaces available. The free, family-friendly event also features a Kids' Corner with a variety of games and art activities for children to enjoy.
