Spring Break: Fun, Learning or Both?

What's the most beneficial way for your child to spend Spring Break?

Children spend so much time at school, doing homework and engaging in extracurricular activities that I think they deserve to do whatever makes them happy during Spring Break. Talk to you child and ask what he or she wants to do and, as long as it’s reasonable, try to accommodate him or her!

Spring Break is just that – a break – a time to unwind and rejuvenate for the rest of the school year. You could plan a family vacation, visit relatives, set-up play dates and so on; whatever makes your children happy.

Some of my best childhood memories were formed on lazy days when my imagination led me on an aimless adventure or on one of my family’s vacations to a boardwalk or theme park. When it comes to Spring Break, think fun and relaxation and your children will be happy!

I have great memories of my Spring Break vacations with my parents. Each year we took a trip to the same hotel at Daytona Beach. That hotel has become special to me as I have grown up and out of my family home.

I believe the most beneficial way for children to spend Spring Break is being with their families. Spending time with immediate family is a way to reconnect and recharge. Making memories that last a lifetime is important for every family.

Depending on the ages of children, daily life can become crammed with heavy schedules, outside commitments and less time spent at home. Coming together and staying stress free can help remind people what is most important in life-family.
