Now in its fifth year, Screamers is the only haunted house you'll find in Cartersville. A small group puts on the Halloween fright each year, and all proceeds go to Advocates for Bartow's Children.
"There are about 20 of us. We are just a group of friends plus a few extras to fill in some spaces," Debbie Ham told Cartersville Patch. "We do it because we love it!"
Doors open at 8 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, beginning Oct. 19 and continuing through Nov. 3. It all happens at the American Legion Carl Boyd Post 42 fairgrounds.
The cost is $10 per person. Screamers is set to close early Wednesday, Oct. 31 because it's a school night.
