Salon 120, It's About Time Boutique Win Cartersville Decorating Contest

Two downtown Cartersville businesses have won a Window Decorating Contest sponsored by the city's Downtown Development Authority.

It's About Time Boutique won the contest under its spring theme and Salon 120 won under the historic theme. 

The themes were chosen due to the time of the year and the upcoming Georgia Trust For Historic Preservation's holding its Spring Ramble in Cartersville this weekend. 

Participants had until May 2 to have their windows ready for judgement.   

The winners were chosen by the DDA's Design and Outreach committee.

It's About Time Boutique's window "was full of life and color and really captured the essence of spring," the DDA said.

The window at Salon 120 was "creative and eye-catching (and) it was definitely something outside of the box for the salon, which is what set it apart from others."

Both merchants received gift cards from the DDA.
