Morning Frost, then Lunch with Civil War Soldiers

What do you need to know today? A lot happens in our not-so-little city, but we'll keep you informed.

1) This morning will start out chilly with widespread frost before 9. Otherwise, today will be sunny, with a high near 72, according to the National Weather Service. Tonight should be clear, with a low around 42.

2) The lowest gas in town Tuesday was $3.39 at the at 122 Old Mill Rd. and Erwin Street.

3) Want to do something fun for lunch today? Come to the Booth Western Art Museum, 501 N. Museum Dr. Join veteran Civil War re-enactors for a look at the earliest days of the war and what the expectations were on both sides before the first major battle. Period and reproduction weapons and uniforms will be on display before and after the presentation. Lunch will be available for purchase. For more information call 770-387-1300.

4) Registration for the Grand Theatre's summer camps is ongoing now. Here are the details: Primary Camp—Students completing grades kindergarten and first: "The Bugs in the Bog," a fairy tale with a new twist; May 31 to June 4; 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.; performance Date, June 4, 7 p.m.; cost $100. Elementary CampStudents completing grades 2 through 4: "Pirates, the Musical," Session I, June 20 to 25, and Session II, June 27 to July 1; performances, June 25 and July 2, 7 p.m.; cost $150.
 Middle School Camp—Students completing grades 5 through 7: "Disco Knights," a '70s roller skating adventure; June 6 to 18, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.; performances, June 17 and 18, 7 p.m.; cost $275. Senior High Camp—Students completing grades 7 through 12: "Crazy For You," audition day, July 2, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.; camp, July 5 to 24, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.; performances, July 22 and 23, 7 p.m., and July 24, 2:30 p.m.; cost $325.
