Freeze Warning, Wind Advisory in Effect Tonight, Halloween Morning

Cartersville and Bartow County could see temperatures dip into the lower 30's.

The National Weather Service has issued a freeze warning for Bartow, including Cartersville, and other counties in north and west central Georgia.

Effective from 8 p.m. Tuesday to 10 a.m. Wednesday, which is Halloween, it warns temperatures are expected to drop into the lower 30s tonight and through Wednesday morning. A wind advisory in effect the same time period warns of brisk winds form the northwest at 15 to 25 mph, with gusts up to 40 mph.

Winds are expected to remain strong throughout the evening, which will make driving difficult for high-profile vehicles. Drivers are advised to use extra caution and boaters should also use caution as strong winds could produce a rough chop on area lakes.
