Freeze Warning Set for Early Morning

Low temps are expected to dip into the low 30s in portions of north and northwest Georgia, according to the National Weather Service.

A freeze warning is in effect for Cartersville and Bartow County for several hours early Wednesday morning, according to the National Weather Service.

Effective from 1 to 9 a.m., it warns temperatures could dip into the low 30s portions of north and northwest Georgia. Areas of frost also are expected across portions of north and west central Georgia, according to a hazardous weather outlook.

A freeze warning means freezing temperatures are forecast to threaten outdoor plants. Those with agricultural interests in the warned area are advised to harvest or protect tender vegetation.
