Bartow is one of several counties included in a freeze warning covering parts of north and west central Georgia.

In effect from 2 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, it warns of temperatures in the mid to upper 20s to low 30s.

In Cartersville, the mercury is expected to dip to 27, according to the NWS forecast. But it won't be cold long.

Heading into the weekend, Cartersville should warm up a lot. NWS forecast Saturday's high to reach 71.
