In 1929, families loaded up the car for entertaining road trips throughout the sunny south, stopping at roadside stands for handmade chenille, unique wares, great food and a true slice of Americana.
This southern journey will be repeated June 3-5 as enterprising southerners hold thousands of yard sales along the 90-mile Dixie Highway from Ringgold south to Kennesaw.
In past years, more than 500 sales were recorded in Bartow County including Adairsville, Cassville, Cartersville and Emerson.
