Despite Hurricane, No Rain in Sight

There's still little rain in sight despite , according to the National Weather Service. Another clear, sunny day is on tap, with a high of about 90 and the low 64.

The Hazardous Weather Outlook in effect for some time continues, warning that cloud-to-ground lightning, strong winds and heavy rain are possible with pop-up storms.

Hurricane Irene is on its way to the east coast, according to The Weather Channel.

The first hurricane of the 2011 Atlantic hurricane season is forecast to strengthen into a major hurricane, whiz by Georgia's coast and meet land in the Carolinas and up the eastern seaboard.

Despite the possibility Irene could clip the Georgia coast, forecasters say the resulting rain won't do much for the drought.
