Where/When: Located off Interstate 75, exit 283. Go east on Old Allatoona Road, cross the railroad and continue 1 mile to a parking area on the left. Open year round.
Why Go: Your kids will enjoy the open-air adventure of a hike while learning about a key battle in Civil War history. The 2.5-mile trail is a fairly easy walk and interpretive signs share historical facts along the way.
