As we know from yesterday evening's and flooded streets, storms are prone to pop up and the same is true for today, according to the National Weather Service.

The Hazardous Weather Outlook in effect for some time continues to warns that cloud-to-ground lightning, strong winds and heavy rain are possible.

Otherwise, expect another hot and muggy day with heat index values as high as 103. The high temperature should be about 95 and the low 72. We could be in for more afternoon storms — mainly after 2 p.m. — with up to .25 inches of rain. Higher amounts of rain are possible with thunderstorms.

The Code Orange Air Quality Alert continues to warn the air could be unhealthy for sensitive groups. Children, those sensitive to ozone and people with heart or lung disease should limit exertion outdoors during late afternoon and early evening, when ozone concentrations are the highest.
