Top 5 Reasons To Go To Tellus' Family Science Night

Super Why and Princess Presto, two of the stars of the hit GPB kids' show "Super Why!" are headlining the Cartersville museum's SandFest on Friday.

Tellus Science Museum's Family Science Night set for Friday, Nov. 22, is all about sand. The top five reasons your family should participate in SandFest, from 5 to 9 p.m., according to museum officials, are:

  1. Meet Super Why and Princess Presto, two of the stars of the hit GPB kids' show "Super Why!"
  2. Design a unique keychain full of colorful sand.
  3. Start your own sand collection by creating a special sand card.
  4. Think all sand is the same? Check out a variety of shapes, sizes and colors under special microscopes.
  5. Collect four new Tellus trading cards. These special cards feature photos of different types of sand.
Plus see the kid-friendly planetarium show "Molecularium" and visit the Observatory, open from 5 to 10 p.m., to do some stargazing.
